Candle Care Tips
-
Trim the Wick
Before each use, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This helps prevent large flames, reduces soot, and ensures a clean, even burn. -
First Burn – Melt the Wax Evenly
On the first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way across the surface to the edges of the jar. This prevents tunneling and promotes an even burn for future use. -
Burn for 2-4 Hours at a Time
For optimal results, burn your candle for 2-4 hours at a time. This helps the wax pool properly and reduces tunneling, ensuring a smooth, even burn. -
Keep Away from Drafts
Place the candle on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, vents, and flammable objects. This will help the candle burn evenly and safely. -
Extinguish Safely
Always extinguish the flame using a snuffer, rather than blowing it out, to avoid hot wax splashes. Allow the candle to cool before trimming the wick for the next use. -
Storage
Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This preserves the fragrance and prevents the wax from melting prematurely. -
Disposal
When the candle burns down to about 1/2 inch, it’s time to retire it. You can repurpose or recycle the jar once all the wax is gone.
By following these simple care tips, you'll ensure a long-lasting, safe, and enjoyable candle experience every time.
